Taiyuan University of Science and Technology is the first undergraduate institution for heavy machinery in new China and a multidisciplinary university that plays a key role in talent development and technological research for major equipment in the country. 

The four old boilers at the university’s East Campus, used for domestic hot water, suffered from low energy efficiency, high noise levels, and nitrogen oxide emissions that did not meet environmental standards. In December 2019, they were replaced with four Fulton ultra-low nitrogen condensing EDR series boilers. During consultations, it was discovered that the low natural gas supply pressure from the local gas company couldn't support conventional boilers at full load. However, the EDR boilers are compatible with lower gas pressures, fully meeting the university’s needs and leading to a successful partnership with Fulton. Designed by Fulton Group in the U.S. and assembled by Fulton (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., these boilers are built to ASME and Chinese standards, ensuring top quality.
